Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a Heavy-Duty Technician to support a growing nationwide team. You will maintain and repair trucks and equipment, working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on site.

The role requires 3–5 years in heavy equipment repair, ability to read schematics, and independence. Safety, training, and career growth are emphasized within a network of service centers across the country.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' experience in heavy equipment repair industry
  • Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment systems across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic domains
  • Off road equipment experience
  • Light crane repair experience
  • Knowledge of gas and diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems
  • Familiar with hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Able to perform tasks independently
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • High School diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair a variety of equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
  • Read diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, off-road equipment, and cranes (light crane work).
  • Repair electrical and mechanical components.
  • Maintain knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and general mechanical systems.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance programs for mobile equipment.
  • Complete paperwork thoroughly and timely.
  • Adhere to safety and environmental requirements.
