Job summary

CoxFleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Midland, TX. The role performs licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to follow-up repairs in a mobile/field setting.

The technician diagnoses electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems, conducts road tests, and documents findings on Repair Orders using company devices. HS diploma and ASE T8 within 18 months are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years related experience.
• ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical as required.
• Valid DOT medical card with necessary validity remaining.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and drivetrain systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to identify malfunctions.
• Road test vehicles to confirm repairs and proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document on RO via TRAIT app.
