Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will support a varied fleet and learn advanced mechanical skills under supervision, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and up to 2 years' related experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA certification requirements and DOT medical card policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Handle electrical, braking, cooling, engine and drive-train systems.
• Manage parts inventory and reconcile with service truck stock.
• Maintain vehicle safety checks and pre/post trips.
• Communicate with clients to assess needs and provide updates.
• Complete DOT forms and repair orders accurately and on time.
