Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will work on light to heavy vehicles, manage parts, and document work using company tools.

This role requires strict safety adherence and strong communication with customers. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, own hand tools, and DOT compliance experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Own set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance required; DOT medical card preferred.
• ASE certifications preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck equipment.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and document RO findings.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals.
