Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role requires travel and working at Cox locations with on-site support from senior technicians.

Responsibilities include documenting work, parts procured, and complying with all safety and regulatory standards. ASE certifications are preferred, and a DOT medical card is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must supply set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge or training preferred.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• 21+ years old with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light, medium, and heavy vehicles.
• Execute minor repairs and routine maintenance.
• Manage parts inventory for service truck and reconcile periodically.
• Document work and upload RO photos using company systems.
• Maintain safety and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.
