Boomerang Healthcare in Brentwood, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant Scribe to support physicians and improve clinic efficiency. This on-site role involves documenting visits, managing EMR/dictation systems, and assisting with referrals and clerical tasks.

The candidate should have a Medical Assistant course, a High School Diploma or GED, and BCLS with AED. Spanish/English bilingual ability is strongly preferred; the position includes collaboration with the Clinic Operation Manager and on-site

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant course from an accredited/recognized school
• Current BCLS with AED certificates
• Experience in a medical clinic, hospital or SNF setting: 1 year
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical documentation
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Comfort using Electronic Medical Record software (training provided)
• Ability to present information clearly and professionally
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient, professional, and coworker communication
• Knowledge of confidentiality per HIPAA and safety guidelines
• Ability to anticipate patient needs and take proactive measures
• Bi-lingual Spanish/English strongly preferred

Responsabilités

• Accurately document medical visits and procedures as performed by the physician
• Record patient medical history and physical exams
• Document procedures and treatments performed by healthcare professionals
• Provide patient education and explanations of risks and benefits
• Dictate diagnoses, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions
• Prepare referral letters as directed by the physician
• Manage dictation, faxing, phone calls, and clerical tasks
• Research referral contacts and coordinate referrals as needed
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of clinical data in the medical record
• Support quality reporting and workflow improvements
• Proofread medical documents for accuracy and grammar
