Job summary

Boomerang Healthcare is seeking a Medical Scribe to support physicians on-site in Brentwood and Walnut Creek. You will document visits, manage electronic records, and assist with referrals and dictation to improve clinic flow.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant course, and BCLS with AED. Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred, with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and completed a Medical Assistant course.
• Current BCLS with AED certificates required.
• Experience in a medical clinic setting preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Accurately document visits and procedures during patient care.
• Record medical history, exams, diagnoses, and instructions for self-care.
• Prepare referral letters and manage dictation, faxes, and calls.
• Identify chart issues and ensure accuracy with physician sign-off.
• Support data collection for quality reporting and follow-up tracking.
• Proofread documents for spelling, grammar, and accuracy.
