Job summary

Boomerang Healthcare is hiring a Medical Assistant Scribe for an on-site role in Fresno, CA. The position supports physicians by documenting visits, managing EMR and dictation, and coordinating referrals and tests.

Fluency in Spanish/English is strongly preferred and a solid grasp of medical terminology is required. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a Medical Assistant course, current BCLS with AED, and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of a Medical Assistant course from an accredited school.
Current BCLS with AED certificates.
Experience in a medical clinic, hospital or SNF setting: 1 year.
Comfort using Electronic Medical Record software and standard office tools.

Responsibilities

Document medical visits and procedures accurately as performed by the physician.
Record patient history, exam, procedures, education, and instructions.
Prepare referral letters and manage dictation, faxing and calls.
Ensure reports/tests are attached and chart is complete.
Spot and correct discrepancies in medical documentation with physician sign‑off.
Support quality reporting and assist in patient follow-up tracking.
