Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a part-time Medical Interpreter to provide onsite oral interpretation for non-English-speaking patients in the Patient Contact Center. This role supports effective communication between patients and healthcare teams to ensure access to high-quality, patient-centered care.

The position requires fluent English and target language(s), knowledge of medical terminology, and certified interpretation credentials or UC Davis language assessment.

Qualifications

• Active certification in healthcare interpretation or UC Davis language assessment.
• Fluent in English and target language(s).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to interpret in both directions (target language ↔ English).
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
