Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America seeks a Mechanical Dry Construction Manager to lead the on-site mechanical team and coordinate HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems on large hi-tech projects. Qualifications

• Five or more years of mechanical construction experience.
• Experience with industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor projects.
• Experience in live high-tech facilities.
• LEED Accredited Professional or able to become accredited within 18 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering, construction or management field.
• Education background in materials and methods of construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC/exhaust subcontractor and vendor installation daily to maintain schedule and support startup and commissioning.
• Interface between Area Construction Managers and multiple subcontractors to coordinate system startups.
• Verify documentation is complete and equipment is ready for startup.
• Coordinate MEP systems with civil, architectural, and structural elements.
• Organize training for clients' personnel in operations and maintenance of MEP systems.
• Run startup meetings with stakeholders to coordinate MEP startup activities.
• Review submittals and coordinate changes to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Receive and process RFIs and change in scope documents.
• Field survey of control lines and benchmarks.
• Be the onsite technical advisor at the field construction office.
• Assist in estimating mechanical budgets and staffing.
• Secure mechanical subcontractors and manage contracts and changes.
