Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America seeks a Mechanical Wet/Dry Systems Construction Manager to lead the on-site mechanical team on a large hi-tech project in Childress, TX. You will coordinate with design professionals, clients, and subcontractors to address complex coordination issues and oversee quality control.

The role requires five+ years in mechanical construction, live high-tech facility experience, and LEED/AP credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• A minimum five years of mechanical construction experience.
• Industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor manufacturing project experience.
• Experience in live high-tech facilities.
• LEED AP preferred or able to become within 18 months.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in ME/CE/EE/CM or equivalent.
• Education background in materials and methods of construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC/exhaust subcontractors and vendors to maintain schedule and startup readiness.
• Coordinate mechanical/electrical system startups with area managers and subs.
• Ensure documentation is complete and equipment is startup-ready.
• Coordinate MEP systems with civil, architectural, and structural elements.
• Train client personnel in MEP operation and maintenance.
• Lead startup meetings with multiple stakeholders to drive MEP start-up activities.
• Review submittals and coordinate RFIs and scope changes.
• Field survey of control lines and benchmarks.
• Serve as technical advisor on site field office.
• Assist in mechanical budgeting and staffing.
• Secure subcontractors and manage contracts and buyouts.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent

High school diploma or GED

LEED Accredited Professional or ability to become

Education background in materials and methods of construction

Cleanroom experience
