Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in Clackamas, Oregon, is seeking an Area Manager to lead assigned manufacturing areas in the Structurals division, ensuring safe, compliant production and achievement of quality and productivity targets.

You may supervise multiple shifts, coach supervisors, manage staffing and budgets, and drive continuous improvement using PCC processes and lean methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business related curriculum or engineering curriculum (or 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience).
• Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities to guide staff and manage performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe manufacture of products and maintain safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety policies.
• Train employees in safety procedures and uphold housekeeping practices.
• Provide coaching and development; resolve employee issues.
• Adhere to process control procedures and quality instructions.
• Plan and supervise operations to meet production schedules cost-effectively.
• Manage performance measures and staffing to meet budgets and throughput targets.
• Lead interviews, hires, and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Develop and train subordinate staff in safety and operations.
