Job summary

CBC Global Network in Richmond, VA is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer for an established manufacturing partner. The role centers on production-floor problem solving, equipment and process improvements, and executing projects in a high-mix environment.

You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, safety, and leadership to improve reliability, throughput, and day-to-day performance, with on-site presence required.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in manufacturing or production engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, automation, and industrial equipment.
• Experience planning and executing equipment, process-improvement, or capital projects.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and structured problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with operators, maintenance, quality, safety, and leadership.
• CAD capability using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor observing processes and identifying practical improvements.
• Lead root-cause troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, automation, and production issues using structured methods.
• Manage expense and capital projects from concept through installation and handoff.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, layouts, and production-system improvements with hands-on design and fabrication.
• Establish and improve SOPs, work instructions, and equipment best practices, then train personnel.
• Use operating data and observation to improve machine reliability, process capability, efficiency, and throughput.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
