Job summary

The Richmond Group USA helps an expanding manufacturing client in the Richmond, Virginia area identify a Manufacturing Engineer focused on improving equipment, processes, reliability, and overall manufacturing performance.

This hands-on role is on-site and involves troubleshooting on the floor, driving root cause actions, and leading capital projects from concept through implementation, with emphasis on continuous improvement and collaboration with operators, maintenance, and production

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
Hands-on mechanical, automation, and industrial equipment knowledge.
Proven troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience.
Experience managing capital/expense projects from concept to start-up.
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines.
Experience designing tooling, fixtures, or manufacturing layouts.
Familiarity with TPM, predictive maintenance, and CI methodologies.
Strong communication and teamwork with operators and leadership.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot equipment and processes on the manufacturing floor.
Drive root cause corrective actions to sustain improvements.
Lead capital and expense projects from concept through installation, training, startup, and handoff.
Design or improve tooling, fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing layouts.
Engage operators, maintenance, engineering, and plant leadership to build a culture of continuous improvement.
