Job summary

CBC Global Network in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to provide hands-on production support, troubleshoot, and implement practical improvements on the shop floor. You will work closely with operators, maintenance, engineers, and production leadership to boost equipment reliability, process performance, and throughput.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of manufacturing experience with machine operation, troubleshooting, or technical production experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting across machinery, automation, and industrial equipment.
• Experience supporting or leading equipment or process-improvement projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with operators and leadership.
• High ownership, initiative, adaptability, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, automation, and production-equipment issues and drive corrective actions.
• Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor observing equipment and processes and implementing improvements.
• Support improvement projects from concept through installation, training, startup, and handoff.
• Create or improve tooling, fixtures, layouts, and production-system solutions.
• Develop and improve SOPs and work instructions and train production and maintenance personnel.
• Use observation and performance data to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and throughput.
