Job summary

James Hardie in Dahlonega, GA is seeking an on-site Accountant/Finance professional to support close processes, inventory accounting, and financial reporting. You will work with operations and supply chain to ensure accurate records and compliance with GAAP.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 2-5 years of related experience, with strong Excel and ERP skills. A bonus plan and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing or multi-entity environments.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaids, and manufacturing-related transactions.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Perform account reconciliations (inventory, COGS, manufacturing overhead) and resolve discrepancies.
• Support inventory accounting: raw materials, WIP, finished goods tracking.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable/Receivable and support audits.
