Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and manufacturing transactions.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Perform account reconciliations (inventory, COGS, manufacturing overhead) and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support inventory accounting (raw materials, WIP, finished goods).
  • Coordinate with AP/AR and assist with general ledger maintenance.
  • Assist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls, SOX if applicable.
  • Identify process improvements in accounting workflows and reporting.

Summary

Support the accounting/finance operations by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with the close process, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role plays a key part in inventory accounting, cost tracking, and financial reporting, working closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and manufacturing-related transactions
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Perform account reconciliations (including inventory, COGS, and manufacturing overhead accounts) and resolve discrepancies
  • Support inventory accounting, including tracking raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Partner with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to support those departments and fill in as necessary
  • Help maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate classification of transactions
  • Assist with external/internal audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls, including SOX (if applicable)
  • Identify process improvements in accounting workflows and reporting
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, corporate, or multi-entity environment.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close processes, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Experience with internal controls, audits, and process improvement initiatives is a plus.
What You’ll Receive

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time.
