Job summary

6 Degrees Group is seeking a Staff Accountant for its North Georgia operations. The role focuses on core accounting tasks, including inventory accounting, cost tracking, and financial reporting within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You'll partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure timely, accurate financial information and support monthly closes. This position offers growth within a large multi-site organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 25 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or multi-entity environments.
• Strong understanding of GAAP with hands-on general ledger and account reconciliation experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and manufacturing-related transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations for inventory, COGS, and manufacturing overhead accounts, resolving discrepancies as they arise.
• Support inventory accounting by tracking raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including maintaining the general ledger.
