Job summary

Tailwind Group Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Landing College Station, a 546-unit student housing community serving Texas A&M University students. This full-time, on-site role runs Monday–Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, with possible after-hours as needed.

The role involves repairs across apartments and common areas, preventative maintenance support, and delivering exceptional resident service to maintain the property’s reputation. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in building maintenance, student housing experience a plus.
• HVAC and appliance repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CPO certification preferred or may be required upon hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and staff.
• Maintain curb appeal through daily property walks and upkeep.
• Perform general repairs in units, common areas, and building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, drywall).
• Assist turnover and make-ready processes including furniture removal and setup, and supervise temporary staff.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors to ensure quality workmanship.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in on-call rotation.
• Support preventative maintenance programs and attend team meetings.
• Keep maintenance area organized and maintain tools and equipment.
