Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade schooling or maintenance vocational training.
• Five years’ experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
• Two years’ experience as a licensed Journeyman in the trade.
• Must have either Master license or two of: Journeyman Electrical, EPA refrigerant certification, or Journeyman Plumber license.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in decisions on repairs and report major problems.
• Install, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Inspect and diagnose HVAC and other building systems; service related equipment.
• Supervise and lead a group of workers on projects.
• Read and convey complex instructions in writing and verbally.
• Teach advanced maintenance skills to staff.
