Job summary

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Islander Housing to perform repairs and routine maintenance in residence halls and apartment-style living units. You will operate ladders, lifts, and a TAMUCC vehicle, while ensuring facilities are in good condition and records are kept up to date.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems, responding to resident requests, and coordinating with contractors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventative maintenance and repairs on residential facilities, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and other systems.
• Respond to resident requests for maintenance or repairs in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repair work completed; coordinate with contractors for larger projects.
