Job summary

HumanGood is hiring a Maintenance I - Helper for our Yakima, WA community. This on-site role performs unskilled maintenance and supports building systems, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry to ensure resident comfort and safety.

The position offers a daytime schedule, Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating on-call shifts and occasional seasonal on-call work such as snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition, and notify supervisors to ensure replacements.
• Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
• Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
• Pick up and deliver supplies.
• Operate maintenance equipment including hand or power tools, company vehicles, or snow blowers.
• Perform electrical work such as repairing and replacing switches, receptacles, lights, and motors.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs and installations.
• Respond to work orders in a timely manner and perform follow up calls as needed.
