Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose and repair issues, complete make-ready tasks for new move-ins, manage inventories, and keep thorough maintenance records.

The role requires completing safety trainings and complying with OSHA guidelines, with occasional travel to assist other properties.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by inspecting pre-move-out items, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Follows procedures to access materials from the property’s maintenance department and track inventory, returning items and notifying reorders.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and pressure-washing areas as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools efficiently.

Education
