Job summary

Thompson Thrift is seeking a Community Manager to lead day-to-day operations of a Class A multifamily community in St. Augustine, Florida.

You will drive occupancy, revenue growth, and resident satisfaction while ensuring alignment with company standards. As the on-site leader, you will manage budgeting, leasing, and team development, partner with leasing to execute pricing strategies, and maintain high-quality, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years of multifamily property management experience; 2+ years as Community Manager preferred.
• Experience with Class A or luxury communities; lease-ups preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and be on-call.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must meet physical requirements of the role (occasional heavy lifting).
• Colorado applicants: experience with transparent pricing of rent/fees is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop on-site team to drive performance and service.
• Build relationships with residents to support retention and satisfaction.
• Oversee budgeting, rent collections, expense control, and revenue optimization.
• Drive occupancy and leasing performance with marketing strategies and pricing.
• Monitor market trends and leasing metrics to inform decisions.
• Ensure service standards and timely response to maintenance requests.
• Coordinate with maintenance to keep the community well-maintained.
• Ensure compliance with policies and Fair Housing regulations.
• Prepare and analyze operational, financial, and performance reports.
