Job summary

Thompson Thrift is hiring a Community Manager for The Sophia in Venice, Florida. The role leads day-to-day operations of a Class A multifamily community, drives occupancy and revenue, and ensures exceptional resident experiences through strong on-site leadership.

You will supervise leasing, maintenance, budgeting, and performance reporting, while maintaining compliance with housing regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in multifamily property management; 2+ years as a Community Manager preferred
• Experience with Class A or luxury multifamily communities or lease-ups preferred
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and be on-call as needed
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for outreach marketing and shopping comps; mileage reimbursement at IRS current rate

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop on-site team members to drive performance, accountability, and exceptional customer service
• Build strong relationships with residents, address concerns, and support retention initiatives
• Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, rent collections, expense control, and revenue optimization
• Drive occupancy and leasing performance by partnering with leasing teams on marketing strategies, pricing, and conversions
• Monitor market trends, community performance, and leasing metrics to inform decisions
• Ensure service standards are met, including maintenance response times and efficient make-ready processes
• Coordinate with maintenance to keep the community well-maintained and aligned with brand standards
• Ensure compliance with policies, Fair Housing regulations, and applicable legal requirements
• Prepare and analyze operational, financial, and performance reports for leadership review
