Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or yard management; government freight or contract logistics experience a plus.
• Hands-on familiarity with trailer pool management, yard operations, or freight coordination in a physical logistics environment.
• Able to work independently on-site without direct daily supervision.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to report clearly.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related logistics software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain real-time inventory of trailers in the Jersey City facility.
• Coordinate trailer movement to meet outbound freight requirements.
• Conduct regular trailer pool audits and report discrepancies.
• Monitor trailer dwell times and coordinate with carriers and Government Services operations team.
• Track and report trailer pool utilization to the Government Services Manager.
• Serve as the on-site contact for carrier subcontractors; manage check-ins and assignments.
• Coordinate carrier arrivals/departures and load assignments per schedule and government requirements.
• Ensure compliance with government contract standards and document control.
• Escalate site issues and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Maintain on-site records of freight movements and equipment transactions.
