Genesis Capital LLC is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join the finance team in California. This entry-level role supports day-to-day loan accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

The position collaborates with business users and IT to deliver sustainable solutions, and participates in month-end and quarter-end close processes. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 1 year of accounting

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience.
Basic understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

Prepare daily journal entries for the loan accounting department.
Identify and resolve issues.
Collaborate with business users and technology team members to implement solutions.
Assist with month end and quarter end close.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Reconcile cash and debt transactions.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
