Genesis Capital is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team on-site in Los Angeles. This entry-progressing role supports daily loan accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end close, contributing to accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting/finance and at least 3 years of accounting experience, with strong Excel and Sage Intacct skills and solid communication in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily journal entries for the loan accounting department.
• Assist in identifying and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with business users and technology teams to implement solutions.
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close.
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Assist with Cash and Debt reconciliations.
• Ability to convey information effectively.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
