Job summary

Shrub Oak International School is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) on site in a clinical capacity within the Pines team. The role reports to the Assistant Director and focuses on comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, individualized treatment planning, and therapy for autistic students with complex needs.

Expect interdisciplinary collaboration, crisis management, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or related field required.
• Current New York State LMHC licensure in good standing required.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience providing assessment and psychotherapy services.
• Experience working with autistic individuals or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical assessment, biopsychosocial and behavioral evaluations and treatment planning.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-informed approaches.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across school, residential, psychiatry, nursing, and families to coordinate care.
• Manage crisis prevention, response, and treatment planning within TCIS framework.
• Provide coaching and supervision to interns or trainees as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with regulatory standards.
