Job summary

Shrub Oak International School is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) to provide comprehensive clinical services on-site for autistic students from a diverse range of ages. You will conduct biopsychosocial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-informed therapy across school, residential, and community settings.

The role requires NY licensure, 3+ years of clinical experience, and a strong commitment to trauma-informed care and interdisciplinary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, Social Work, Creative Arts Therapy, Psychology, or related field.
• Current New York State licensure in good standing as an LMHC, LCSW, LMSW, LCAT, or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience providing assessment and psychotherapy services.
• Experience working with autistic individuals or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors and crisis situations.
• Pass TCIS (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools) training or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment goals and plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy using trauma-informed approaches.
• Collect and analyze clinical data to guide decisions and measure progress.
• Collaborate with education, residential, psychiatry, nursing, and families to coordinate care.
• Respond to crises and participate in TCIS interventions.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation per standards.
