Shrub Oak International School is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee Residential staff and ensure safe, supportive care for autistic students in a residential setting. The role requires crisis management, leadership, and collaboration with clinicians to implement IEPs and development goals.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in high-demand settings, experience with crisis de-escalation, and a passion for serving neurodiverse youth on campus.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 3+ years in high-demand/high-volume customer service or human services position required; EMT/EMS, CAN/HHA/PCA experience preferred.
• Experience in crisis management, de-escalation, and customer service required.
• Previous shift leader or related leadership experience preferred.
• Experience assisting with hygiene and personal care activities preferred.
• Experience working with neurodiverse children, adolescents, or young adults in residential/educational settings required.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate daily care for residential students by overseeing Residential staff.
• Assign staff for programming and activities based on student needs.
• Mentor and guide Residential staff; orient and train new staff.
• Enforce policies to promote an inclusive community; report emergencies promptly.
• Build trusting relationships with students; address their needs and goals.
• Mentor students on life skills; document progress with staff and clinicians as needed.
• Ensure students adhere to daily schedules and activities.
