Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Learning Coach (Guide) to join a campus-based team. You will coach K–3 students through app-based core learning, identify gaps via running records and fluency probes, and deliver short, structured literacy sessions designed by you.

Daily routines include morning launches, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities to keep six-year-olds engaged. This on-site role offers growth as campuses expand nationwide.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years directly working with children ages 4-9, in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, or similar settings.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3, within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor’s degree required; teaching certificate not required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Get every K-3 student to daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Lead targeted, short literacy sessions with small groups (2–4 students).
• Guide morning launches, life-skills workshops, and campus routines.
• Drive weekly app goals with school currency and gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing with proactive plans.
