Job summary

Eaton Aerospace Fuel Motion Control division is seeking a Lead Project Engineer – New Product Development in California. The role focuses on Hydraulic actuation devices for aerospace, using CAE to meet customer and industry standards across the design lifecycle.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 5+ years of mechanical/project engineering experience with 3D CAD. On-site work in the LA area is expected, with no relocation benefit offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum five (5) years of Mechanical and Project Engineering experience with 3D CAD.
• ITAR compliance and U.S. residency required; no sponsorship now or in future.
• Relocation benefit is not offered; candidates within 50 miles of LA/Irvine/Torrance considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design, analysis, and guidance for new product development.
• Lead IPTs to design, analyze, and implement product designs across lifecycle.
• Solve design, inspection, manufacturing, and test issues with vendors and operations.
• Plan multiple projects, manage schedules and budgets, and report status to leadership.
• Create design standards, drawings, test procedures, and substantiating data.
