Job summary

Simmons Pet Food Inc. is seeking a Salary Exempt Production Supervisor to lead an assigned production team on-site at our Arkansas facility.

You will drive productivity, ensure safety, and maintain product quality while coordinating with multiple departments to meet daily production requirements. The role emphasizes scheduling, attendance tracking, and timely performance appraisals, with an emphasis on LEAN improvements and continuous improvement culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years related work experience with 1 year leading role.
• Willing to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.
• Must read and write English.
• Experience in food processing preferred.
• Knowledge of production methods and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-line production team and motivate workers to meet production goals.
• Schedule shifts, track attendance, and approve time off.
• Supervise operations to ensure safety, teamwork, and quality.
• Coordinate inventory, requisition supplies, and maintain records.
• Analyze production reports to meet throughput and yield targets.
• Drive Lean improvements and waste reduction across operations.
• Collaborate with HR, Safety, Maintenance, QA and Finance.
• Participate in hiring with HR and coach team members.
