Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. seeks a Preconstruction Manager for on-site work in the United States.

You will lead preconstruction from concept to GMP development, partnering with owners, architects, and engineers to manage budgets, estimates, procurement, and value engineering across design phases. The role requires 4+ years in preconstruction or related fields, a CM/Engineering degree is preferred, and strong analytical/communication skills.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or commercial construction project management.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience developing conceptual budgets, estimates, and GMP proposals.
Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and trade practices.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Positive, solution-oriented approach with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Lead preconstruction activities from concept through project handoff.
Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants throughout design development.
Develop conceptual budgets and detailed cost estimates at each design phase.
Prepare GMP proposals, contract exhibits, and pricing documentation.
Perform value engineering and recommend cost-saving alternatives.
Conduct constructability reviews and provide feasibility recommendations.
Coordinate logistics planning, sequencing, and scheduling strategies.
Prepare bid packages, trade scopes, and procurement documents.
Solicit, review, level, and evaluate subcontractor bids.
Maintain scope sheets, risk logs, contingencies, and project budgets.
Coordinate project transition to operations and construction teams
Support business development activities and client presentations.
Mentor junior preconstruction staff and promote cross-functional collaboration.
