Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. is seeking a remote Preconstruction Manager to lead budgeting, GMP development, and project handoff from concept through design development. You will collaborate with owners, architects, engineers and trade partners to refine budgets, prepare GMP proposals, and drive value engineering while mentoring junior staff.

This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in construction-related field.
• 4+ years in preconstruction, estimating, or PM in commercial construction.
• Experience developing conceptual budgets, estimates and GMP proposals.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities from concept through project handoff.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers and consultants during design development.
• Develop conceptual budgets and detailed cost estimates at each design phase.
• Prepare GMP proposals, contract exhibits and pricing documentation.
• Perform value engineering and recommend cost-saving alternatives.
• Conduct constructability reviews and feasibility recommendations.
• Coordinate logistics, sequencing and scheduling strategies.
• Prepare bid packages, trade scopes and procurement documents.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and documents.
