Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group LLC is seeking an entry-level Service/Repair Technician 1 to provide on-site support for Hobart Service customers. Responsibilities include installation, diagnosis, and repair of basic mechanical commercial food equipment, with on-call and after-hours availability.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 0–2 years of electrical/mechanical experience; an Associate degree or vocational certificate is preferred. Travel and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0-2 years of electrical/mechanical experience.
• Associates Degree or Vocational Certificate is preferred.
• Mechanical or electrical experience is preferred.
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking and/or refrigeration equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs basic mechanical commercial food equipment and assists in more advanced installs as needed.
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs basic mechanical commercial food equipment for customers on contract and/or on time and material basis.
• Completes and documents preventative maintenance on basic mechanical commercial food equipment.
• Follows Hobart Service safety manuals and programs.
• Provides high-quality customer experience to support branch and organization objectives.
• Keeps current knowledge of organization, industry, and equipment.
