Job summary

ReCloud IT in Piscataway, NJ is seeking a Lead ITAD Technician to oversee testing, repair, QC, and processing of off-lease assets, primarily laptops and desktops.

You will mentor junior technicians, ensure data sanitization per NIST 800-88 and DoD standards, and coordinate depot and inventory activities to maintain quality and throughput in a fast-growing ITAD environment. This role requires hands-on hardware expertise and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in laptop repair, refurbished electronics, or ITAD processing operations.
• Deep familiarity with major OEM hardware and diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of data sanitization standards (NIST 800-88, DoD) and ISO standards.
• Experience with inventory logging and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, repair, QC, and processing of off-lease IT assets.
• Inspect assets for defined grade and functional condition.
• Ensure data sanitization standards are met and audited before inventory.
• Mentor junior technicians and optimize workflows for throughput.
