Job summary

Insight Global in Champaign, IL is seeking an experienced Deskside Support Technician (Level 1) to provide high-touch, in-person IT support across hardware, software, and device lifecycle management in a Microsoft-centric environment. You will troubleshoot Windows and Microsoft 365, image laptops, manage incidents in ServiceNow, and maintain asset records while partnering with internal IT teams.

This role requires strong communication, Excel-based reporting, and experience with Intune and Azure;

Qualifications

• Deskside / desktop support for end users in a Microsoft-centric environment.
• Experience with Windows and Microsoft 365 environments and VIP support.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools, especially ServiceNow.
• Hands-on laptop imaging, refresh cycles, and asset tracking.
• Strong reporting skills in Excel or AI-assisted tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, deskside technical support for end users (Level 1-2 issues).
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Perform laptop imaging, refreshes, and device deployments.
• Manage incidents and requests using ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Support device and systems management, including setup and configuration.
• Maintain accurate asset management records for laptops and peripherals.
• Assist with basic reporting and documentation related to devices, tickets, and asset tracking.
