Job summary

Haffner’s, a regional wholesale fuel distributor in New England, is seeking an IT Support Specialist for an in-office role. You will provide technical assistance across hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring timely issue resolution and support for end-users to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires 4+ years of hands-on IT support, strong Windows/DNS/DHCP/AD knowledge, and experience with virtualization and POS systems.

Qualifications

4+ years of hands-on IT support experience.
Strong knowledge of Windows 11 Pro, Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and virtualization.
Familiarity with networking, mobile device management, and technical documentation.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
Experience in multi-site environments and POS systems.
Prior experience working as Tier 2–3 support at an MSP.

Responsibilities

Provide responsive, high-quality support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Configure and deploy workstations, accounts, and tools for new hires.
Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure in collaboration with the IT team.
Manage IT inventory and procurement processes.
Document support activities and ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.
Prioritize and resolve incidents in accordance with SLAs.
Report and escalation security incidents as necessary.
