Job summary

American Vanguard Corporation is seeking an IT Support Specialist for our Commerce, CA (R&D Center) site. The role provides advanced user support and ensures reliability of workplace technology across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and reporting tools.

It is an on-site position, with occasional after-hours support for urgent incidents. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in IT support, strong operating system and networking knowledge, experience with ITSM tools, and familiarity with ERP

Qualifications

Requires 5+ years of IT support or help desk experience.
Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in IT/CS or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with end-user hardware, software, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain Windows and macOS operating systems.
Support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and performance issues.
Troubleshoot network connectivity (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN) and device issues.
Coordinate configuration of network devices with infrastructure teams.
Serve as IT point of contact during outages and incidents.
Collaborate with ERP and data teams to resolve reporting or data access issues.
Assist QAD users and employees with system issues impacting operations.
Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.
Lead onboarding and offboarding IT activities on-site.
