Job summary

SmartBiz Bank in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Sr. IT Support Specialist to join a small but mighty IT team.

You will be the primary contact for technical issues in the Chicago area, maintain IT operations, and support Windows servers, Mac OS, and cloud apps like O365 and Google Workspace.

This on-site role requires 6+ years in IT support, a customer-focused mindset, and willingness to occasionally evenings/weekends for updates.

Qualifications

• 6+ years progressive experience in IT Support.
• Extensive experience with Windows Servers, Windows Desktop OS and Mac OS.
• Experience in administration of MDM and endpoint management systems.
• JIRA and Confluence preferred; strong knowledge of cloud-based SaaS tools like Google Workspace and Microsoft O365.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary contact for technical issues in the Chicago office as well as serve as one of the first-line tech support and escalation points for SmartBiz company-wide workers.
• Maintain essential IT operations, including cloud email systems, desktop and server OS, Microsoft AD, security tools and other general software applications, on-site servers, routers, switches, WiFi, laptops, desktops, etc.
• Support Windows servers, AD, Windows Desktop, Mac OS X, and web-based software applications including Microsoft O365 and Google Workspace.
• Provide advanced support for internal applications and systems and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
• Assist with IT-focused projects (system upgrades, rollouts, remediation, etc.)
• Work towards automation on repetitive IT tasks and improve internal IT systems and processes
• Administer a wide variety of SaaS products with a team-centric knowledge-sharing approach
• Collaborate cross-functionally to grow SmartBiz
