Job summary

Axiom Technologies in Tampa, FL seeks a capable Desktop Support Engineer for on-demand, on-site IT support at enterprise client locations. You will respond to service requests, troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals, and perform hardware installations and software updates in a fast-paced environment.

As an independent contractor, you will receive work assignments from the Service Delivery Team, coordinate on-site visits, and ensure adherence to client IT policies and security

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows desktops and laptops.
• Ability to troubleshoot LAN connectivity and peripheral devices.
• Ability to work independently onsite at client locations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
