Job summary

Axiom Technologies in Tulsa, OK seeks a reliable Desktop Support Engineer for on-demand, on-site IT support at enterprise client sites. This contract-based role requires responding to service requests and delivering hands-on assistance for desktop systems, laptops, and peripherals.

You'll install and configure hardware and software, troubleshoot Windows environments, and ensure network connectivity. Independent contractors will be dispatched by the Service Delivery Team with no guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

Proven experience with Windows desktops and laptops.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues on-site.
Basic networking knowledge (LAN, switches, routers).
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Capable of working independently on client sites.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
