Job summary

Axiom Technologies is seeking a capable Desktop Support Engineer to deliver on-site IT support for enterprise clients in Jacksonville, FL. This contract-based, on-demand role involves responding to service requests and providing hands-on assistance for desktop systems and peripherals at the client location.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting Windows desktops, laptops, and network connectivity, installing hardware and software, and maintaining devices in accordance with client security

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and end-user hardware.
• Experience in diagnosing and resolving issues with desktop PCs and printers.
• Understanding of basic LAN connectivity (switches/routers) is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in on-site environments.
• Good communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
