SURGE Staffing in Fort Payne, AL is seeking an IT Analyst to provide technical support for a distribution center. The role focuses on hardware, software, network issues, and warehouse systems to ensure continuous operations.

The ideal candidate will have desktop support, networking, and WMS experience, plus ability to work with Operations, Facilities Maintenance, and corporate IT. On-site schedule with rotating on-call responsibilities and a competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CCNP certification or 1–3 years of networking experience required.
• 3+ years of desktop or warehouse systems support experience.
• Experience with Windows OS and common email systems.
• Experience supporting VoIP telecommunications systems.
• Familiarity with AS400 and WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, copiers, IP phones, RF scanners, PC emulators, servers, and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and general technical issues reported by employees.
• Support and troubleshoot the facility's warehouse management system (WMS).
• Verify WMS processes and investigate system-related issues.
• Use AS400 query and file access tools to support configuration and data integrity.
• Work with Facilities Maintenance to troubleshoot material handling equipment (MHE) interfaces.
• Assist project leads with system configuration and database changes as needed.
• Escalate complex Level 3 issues to corporate IT when necessary.
• Collaborate with Operations and Facilities Maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to provide updates and resolve requests.
• Provide remote support during emergencies using company laptop and cell phone.
• Participate in on-call rotation or respond to emergency issues as required.
