Job summary

Motive Workforce in Compton, CA is seeking a System Support Specialist to support and maintain critical IT infrastructure in a high-volume Distribution Center. This onsite role requires hands-on problem-solving to keep warehouse operations running smoothly.

You will monitor and repair distribution center hardware (printers, RF scanners, terminals, controllers), manage network infrastructure, and administer Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related servers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support distribution center hardware (printers, RF scanners, terminals, controllers, IDF cabinets, copiers, telecom equipment).
• Maintain and repair network infrastructure (routers, switches, wireless APs, patch panels, cabling).
• Install, configure, and support communication systems and network connectivity throughout the facility.
• Administer and support WMS, file servers, and related tech.
• Install updates, perform backups, and coordinate with corporate IT.
• Configure and deploy user workstations, peripherals, mobile devices, and networked equipment.
• Lead IT infrastructure projects within the facility.
• Maintain equipment inventories, service records, and assets.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance with third-party vendors.
• Provide training and support to warehouse personnel.
• Generate operational reports, labels, and docs to support operations.
