Job summary

Abcworkers is seeking an IT Specialist for an in-person role in Madison, Alabama. The position offers a salary range of $65,000 to $68,000 per year and requires hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, Linux, networking, and IT support tools.

You will manage computer systems, configure networks, and maintain IT infrastructure while collaborating with internal teams to implement new IT solutions. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT or technical support roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with IT tools and ticketing systems.
• Excellent communication skills for supporting non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and desktop support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Manage and maintain computer systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
• Configure and support networking solutions including LAN, VPN, firewalls, and security protocols.
• Monitor and manage IT infrastructure using tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira.
• Assist with server setup, maintenance, and network device configuration.
• Apply system updates, security patches, and vulnerability prevention measures.
• Support help desk operations and document technical issues accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement new IT solutions.
• Maintain IT documentation, configurations, and asset inventories.
