Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory in North Logan, Utah, seeks a full-time IT Service Desk Technician to install, configure, secure, and troubleshoot software and hardware on Windows and Linux systems in secure and non-secure areas. The role is on-site with responsibilities including incident triage, IT asset management, and documenting all interactions.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, be a U.S. citizen able to obtain a security clearance, and hold or pursue CompTIA Security+ (and Linux+

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
U.S. citizen capable of obtaining/maintaining U.S. Government security clearance.
Active CompTIA Security+ (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
Strong customer service-focused written and verbal communication.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; reliable and detail-oriented.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
Able to work 40 hours/week between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; on-call after hours.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, accurate, dependable support to clients; focus on customer satisfaction.
Follow IT security policies and best practices.
Triage incidents from phone, walk-ins, and tickets.
Install, configure, upgrade, and secure software/hardware.
Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, mobile, printer, and peripheral issues.
Troubleshoot basic network connectivity.
Support IT asset management and warranty handling.
Document interactions in ticketing system; assist student technicians.
