Job summary

GTSC seeks System Administrators (Level I–III) to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. Location: Hanover, MD; all work is on-site, no hybrid or remote option.

Active Top Secret SCI with polygraph clearance is required. Levels I–III are determined by experience (~5, ~10, ~15 years). Requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, and Windows/UNIX/Linux admin skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Windows and/or UNIX/Linux system administration.
• Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage daily operations of systems including servers, storage, and network devices.
• Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
• Perform system configuration, patching, and upgrades for Windows and UNIX/Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and provide timely resolution.
• Support users in accessing and utilizing IT systems.
• Document system configurations, processes, and issue resolutions.
• Support escalation processes and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Maintain system security and compliance with organizational standards.
